Dear Friends of Guildhall Tavern Restaurant

Due to the current lockdown and the news that Poole has been placed in Tier 2, the restaurant is remaining closed until 16th December.

We will reopen on 16th December and remain open until 27th December.

We will serve lunch and dinner from the 16th December, but lunch only on Sunday 20th, Christmas Day and Sunday 27th

The government will be announcing changes to tiers on 16th December with any changes applying from 19th December. Whilst Poole remains in tier 2, (at least from 16th to 19th) bookings are limited to

  • 1 support bubble or household
  • A business meeting up to 6 guests (can be on several tables with a distance 1m+)

All existing bookings from 1st to 15th December are cancelled. You do not need to contact us.

We will contact guests about existing bookings for 16th to 19th December

We are continuing to offer a 7 days a week, takeaway service of French Style Seafood.

This enables you to enjoy the same high quality food that you have experienced in our restaurant but at home with your family.

Our French seafood restaurant in Poole in Dorset, is located just two minutes from the Quay in the heart of the old town. We offer you a friendly atmosphere and a very warm welcome.

We have an extensive menu with house specialities of locally landed delicious fish, crab & lobster prepared in mouth-watering French style. Meat and vegetarian dishes are also available. Bouillabaisse and other fish party fare are prepared on request.

We also offer a special set dinner and lunch menu.

For festive celebrations we offer a special pre-Christmas and Easter menu.

To complement these culinary delights, naturally a selection of the finest wines and cognacs, traditional well-kept real ales, chilled lagers and for the driver ... a choice of non-alcoholic beverages. Our array of home-made desserts will also tempt you!

Food is served ALL DAY Tuesday to Saturday - 11.30am until 10.00pm. We are closed on Sundays and Mondays except special events and private parties (minimum 30 guests)

Our new patio dining area is now open - enjoy our delicious food outdoors in the sunshine.

We also cater for wedding receptions being conveniently located close to Poole Guildhall.

Within the restaurant we also have private function rooms which can be reserved for your group.

Our monthly French evenings are very popular with great entertainment to accompany the special menu.

Our Fruit de Mer Takeaway allows you to enjoy our Seafood Platter in the comfort of your own home.

We welcome children and offer a special children's menu.

Our special diet menu options provide for a wide range of special diets including vegetarian, vegan & gluten free
