In association with the Hampshire Wine School, we are pleased to offer regular wine tasting events.

 

Have you ever found yourself standing in the wine aisle, staring at the vast expanse of bottles in front of you, yet not really looking at anything at all? As you stare, you picture a different you, a wine-savvy you, strutting confidently down the wine aisle.

 

The aim is to make you a better shopper: to arm you with knowledge, confidence and enthusiasm, which should help take some of the guesswork out of buying wine.

 

Your host will be Cécile Bergart, a published Champagne and Wine Educator, a guest champagne expert for Champagne World Magazine and for Channel 4 'SuperScrimpers' and a regular guest speaker on BBC Radio Solent.

 

She has trained both Claridge’s and The Dorchester’s beverage staff and run private tastings for their respective customers. She is now an approved staff educator for Marks and Spencer, for which she runs regular in-store wine tastings.

 

During the wine tastings, you will learn about grape varieties, wine-producing countries, star producers, tips on how to taste wine and how to pair wine and food, in a relaxed and fun way. Become the wine-savvy version of you by joining us in our function room for 2 hours of wine fun!

Traditional French Beef Bourguignon in red wine

with carrots and onions

Fresh Local skate wing, butter and fresh capers

Vegetarian Wellington on a bed of salad

French cheeses selection served with grapes, celery and biscuits

Vanilla bean crème brulee

Ice cream or sorbets selection
