Probably one of the coolest wines I’ve tried this year, this wine is in its most natural unfiltered state, fully sustainable and completely delicious.

Just brilliant, this is all I want in a new world Chardonnay yellow apple, pear and citrus, hints of coconut and vanilla and toasty oak, medium bodied, soft, buttery and lingering.

A stunning wine from on our doorstep delights with tropical notes especially pineapple, crisp and dry leaving a lingering finish that puts a smile on your face, a beautiful match with Dorset oysters.

This is definitely the most interesting wine I have tried and enjoyed this year, bursting with fresh vibrancy with notes of yellow plum, white peaches and grapefruit, great with spicy dishes like Thai mussels.

A great blended Piquepoul that is far less zingy than than its older brother. Overlooking oyster beds, this wine benefits from seamist so has saline flavours and soft floral notes with lively peach and pineapple.

A great find, much like an old world Viognier but brighter and fresher with keen citrus notes and aromas of Thyme and rosemary.

Delicious creamy and fresh, this Muscadet is brilliant and a perfect match with oysters or with any fish where you’ll need a squeeze of fresh lemon.

Fresh and fruity with delicious light citrus notes, limes and exotic fruits. A well structured, grown up Riesling with a very luxurious finish.

Subtle aromas of freshly cut grass, pears and apples, lovely citrus and fennel notes, this is a wonderful match with our mussels or pasta based dishes.

Green apple and mature minerality make this Chablis one to be reckoned with and punches well above its weight in this class. A complex finish with some hints of pink graefuit and lemons, match with local lobster.

From the oldest most prestigious appelations in Macon, this is from a tiny estate of 1 hectare and is one of the finest chardonnays that money can buy, classically structured with ripe fruits, mineral acidity, a fine match for any seafood especially lobster.

A delightful wine with deep apricot and orange notes, a little spicy with a pronounced texture and a notable long finish. One of my favourite drops this year.

Italian sunshine in a glass made from the fiano grape in Puglian vineyards that are just four miles from the Ionian Sea, bright and breezy, elegant with peachy spice and a steely, lemon blossom-scented twist.

Ripe pear and bright white flowers dominate this beautiful wine, this is elegant and very appealing, a truly magical Gavi di Gavi.

With vineyards at over 1000mt benefitting from a great micro climate and even better soil. The product of this is a refreshing and floral wine with oodles of citrus and spicy flavours ending in a beautiful mineral finish.

If you like Marlborough Savignon then this hits the nail on the head. Named after their first daughter Ana, this traditional Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, has cut grass aromas, gooseberry flavours and refreshing citric acidity.

This Pinot Grigio is brilliant and far superior to any Italian ones that I have tasted, this variety won 5-0 in a tasting against all other wines we tried at this point, expect apples, melon and soft peach.

Fetele, a tribute to the women of Romania. A beautiful example of Romania's flagship white grape, Fetească Regală, showing delicate floral aromas with silky layers of yellow plums and spiced pears, one of my favourite wines of 2023.

Benefitting from fresh breezes from the Atlantic this Albarino has classic, orchard fruits characteristics with citrus notes, perfect for our style of seafood especially shellfish dishes.

This soft oak aged Rioja is stunning, from a family run estate in the heart of Alavesa, it has some light cinnamon notes, soft and creamy with white blossom on the nose, great freshness and lingering finish.

What a real treat this is and from half an hour down the road, bright, rosehip colour, fuller at brighter than a Provence rose, full of red Summer fruits, raspberries and cherries on the nose and palate.

A serious drop of Provence with a lovely expressive nose of berries and almond blossom, broad and savoury palate with beautiful depth and minerality.

The finest Sancerre rose available, a rare find with small production, beautiful pink colour with succulent wild strawberries and a refreshing acidity.

This is a very elegant and gentle rose wine that fits prefectly with our menu, it benefits from the breezes and salinity from the 2 seas at Salento.

From the famous Banat region, Sanziana Pinot Grigio Rosé is gently floral, with red berry flavours and a touch of sweet spice, a brilliant wine at this price.

Officially Engand’s only Cremant, a wine that sparkles rather than a sparkling wine made on the late Steven Spurriers estate, pale lemon colour with notes of apple strudel and brioche with a sumptious creamy texture.

2018 was a cracking vintage providing this award winning wine from Dorset. Named after the late Steven Spurriers wife Bella, full of red fruits, almost like a Summer pudding in a glass, fresh with vbalanced acidity leading to a long, fine finish.

The wine maker was the first person outside Champagne to win sparkling winemaker of the year. Out performing many Champagnes, expect delicate bubbles, toasted brioche, honey & sweet spice.

This multi vintage rose is wonderfully elegant filled with vibrant notes of cherry and crisp berries, an English delight.

Finely structured blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay has a bit of everything: zesty apple and citrus fruit, balanced by richer, toasted brioche flavours and refined bubbles. A classic Grand Cru Champagne.

Red fruits, bright and youthful with citrus and cranberry notes, one of the longest, most elegant finishes of any Champagne.

Exceptional, possibly the finest premium Champagne available, vibrant and aromatic with exceptional depth, true class.

“Chamuyo” to whisper of passion or desire, the is a true Malbec, it is a juicy, supple wine with ripe summer fruits, herbs and warm spice.

This traditional Lodi Old Vine Zinfandel is deep and rich, showing ripe black fruit flavours with subtle jam and chocolate overtones, typical of these family grown vineyards. Gentle on the palate with a subtle, smoky finish.

This is a beauty, concentrated and balanced, a ripe and moreish honest Cabernet Sauvignon from the sunny Languedoc. Well-structured, smooth and concentrated with dark fruit and savoury spice.

This wine offers a fine intensity and juicy ripe cherries on the nose. Silky and smooth on the palate, this elegant Pinot displays hints of rose petal, liquorice and a fresh, lingering finish. A pure gem at less than £30.

From one of the most stylish Cru in Beaujolais, with a core of juicy blackberry fruit and lively hints of orange peel playing around the edge of the palate. It rounds off with fine, tannins coating the mouth with a satisfying, lingering umami note.

Quintessential Fleurie with subtle floral aromas surrounding a core of deep red fruits. The palate is full of finesse, with a rich and silky texture and an attractive hint of bitter cocoa on the finish.

Think Gevrey Chambertain, but half the price, charming raspberryaromas with hints of spice, a smooth palate of sweet Morello cherry and a touch of smoke. Beautiful structure, with balanced oak and exquisite finish.

One of the great, gravel soiled Pomerols. The nose offers hints of strawberry and damson whilst the palate has lovely balance, a silky structure with powder-fine tannins, freshness, purity and length.

Made from plump Merlot grapes which create this amazinigly soft, sumptious red is light enough to enjoy with a variety of fish and our local meat selection, drinks far better than its price tag.

The best Primitivo money can buy, a nose full of fresh red cherrys, the palate is crammed with juicy plums, cinnamon and vanilla, with dark chocolate. Velvety tannins

A classic Rioja, deep red in colour, clean and intense aromas of red fruit and spicy notes. The palate displays rich plum, dark cherry fruit and warm spices, long lasting on the palate. Fresh acidity and ripe tannin structure.

Luxuriously sweet and decadent, one of my favourite stickies that matches up well with chocolate or cheese as it gently warms through.

Located south of Bergerac, this is a great Sauternes alternative. This lovely example is floral and gently honeyed, with apricot and orange blossom.

Expect honey, apricots, butterscotch, caramel, marmalade, this one is an absolute sticky classic.

Sweet and gently sparkling with delicate honey aromas and freshly cut flowers, ripe apricot palate with a delightfully soft mousse, perfect acidity to balance the sweetness.
